Rally Teams Foreword for 2011

So here we are again, browsing the forthcoming rally programme and making plans for caravanning throughout the coming year. We hope that you will find a good selection of rallies at venues both new and old to whet your appetite for the 2011 season. This programme was put together over the last year thanks to the help and co-operation of many people, to whom we would like to express our sincere gratitude. As is usually the case some of our old favourite venues are not always available as landowners seek to make the best use of their land although we are always seeking new venues and are indebted to our members who come along with ideas for new venues which we can explore. This programme contains half a dozen venues new to our centre plus a few for which a visit is long overdue. Joining me as Assistant Rally Secretary this year is Graham Hull, someone who will need no introduction to most of our members as he has been a North Staffs Centre member for many years, having served on the committee in a variety of posts including Hon Rally Secretary. We will be supported by a small but effective rally team in our efforts to produce a programme for 2012. Work on the 2012 programme will commence in early 2011 so please put forward any suggestions you might have.

You will notice that there are a few venues listed in the programme which have no Marshals as yet. Rather than cancel them early we have elected to include them in the rally book in the hope that someone will come forward to marshal them.

Please consider putting your name down to Marshal a rally and if you’ve never done it before don’t be put off, there’s very little to it. Please feel free to ask myself, Graham or any Committee member, and we will help you all we can.
