A Message from the Rally Team.

Rally Teams Foreword As
the 2007 season reached its conclusion we looked back to see how things
had gone. Were there things that could be improved upon? Were there good
things that we could repeat in future rally programmes? The answer of
course is yes, as we continually look to improve every year. Sometimes,
no matter how much thought and planning goes into a programme something
unexpected crops up. In 2007 it was the weather that provided the test.
The weather in July was somewhat wet to say the least with several rallies
(and their late replacements) having to be cancelled due to waterlogged
ground. This was only a small glimmer of what was about to come with large
parts of the country being isolated due to flooding. Fortunately we only
lost 4 rallies as a result before outbreaks of 'Foot and Mouth Disease'
and 'Blue Tongue' threatened to disrupt the programme further. Our prayers
were answered as the diseases were contained in or near the areas of their
outbreak. This programme has come together over the last twelve months thanks to the continued support of a variety of people and we would like to thank them all for their contribution, while looking forward to their continued support in the forthcoming year. The rally department is always looking for suggestions to vary the programme so if you have any please feel free to share them with us, after all, it's your centre. In closing I'd like to thank all the Marshals. Not only those who have kindly put their names forward for the 2008 programme but all those who have marshalled in the past and those who just simply help out where they can. We hope that you all have a happy 2008 and look forward to meeting you during the coming season. Andy Kelsall - Rally Sec.
