Another of our ‘extended’ weekends takes us Eastbound along the A50 to a new venue. Barton Marina has its own shopping complex which includes outlets for handmade crafts and jewelry, an Art Gallery, Toys of yesteryear, designer handbags and leather goods, toy shop, designer clothing, beauty and cosmetic products, not to mention the Butchers, Bakers and ice cream makers and coffee shop. There’s even a friendly pub nearby at the bottom of the lane. Out and about, the pretty village of Barton-under-Needwood is a few minutes walk from the Marina and Burton-on-Trent, the brewing capital of England is just 4 miles away.

DIRECTIONS:

From Stoke, head east on the A50. At Junction 4, turn right onto the A38. towards Burton for 9 miles before turning right onto the A5016 to Barton-under-Needwood.

From Lichfield take the A38 north for approx 7 miles before turning left onto the A5016 to Barton-under-Needwood. Watch for NSC signs.
