Maxey is
a small village lying approximately 8 miles north of Peterborough providing a
good base to explore the villages of the surrounding area. The old stone town
of Stamford (often described as a mini York) is just a few miles away and is
well worth a visit. Also within easy reach for exploring are Rutland Water,
Burghley Hall, Market Deeping, Spalding and Peterborough. There are scenic lake
walks from the site with fishing available for the anglers amongst us, see
Marshals for further details. |
